CPE Event Highlights
This training is a 2 hour, intensive course for all preparers of Medicaid Cost Reports. It will give the preparer an idea as to what Auditors look for in a completed report. This CPE event will help you to get your madicaid cost report in line with the regulators expectations.
The point of the training is to give you, the preparer, ways to prepare the cost report so that once completed, you will not receive phone calls and emails from Auditors asking for information that will take your time away from other clients and other work that you do.
Learning Objectives
The main objective of this training will be to inform you of what Auditors are looking for during their audit of the Cost Report and give you insight into the analysis and preparation from their point of view. We will also cover the various methods of the Cost Allocation process and how to maximize your clients' reimbursement dollars. The other area we will concentrate on is the Provider's Financial Statements. This is the most important piece of the cost reporting puzzle. Mistakes here will cause Auditors to call you and request additional information, so it is important that the financials be correct and in the right format.
