"TAG has seasoned managers who know how to bring about change without creating a backlash within the organization," Daly Lewis said. "They realize that consultants can't just start giving orders. They must work to gain trust among management and others to overcome resistance and work through difficulties."

"The TAG professionals are superb technically," Daly Lewis said. "And they have the courage to ask for what they need. In addition to their conflict resolution skills, they can also be terrific cheerleaders, reassuring others of their good work and prompting continued effort along the way."

TAG helped the SBA design a new flexible Oracle chart of accounts (COA) to accommodate SBA’s Core Accounting System and a future Loan Accounting System. This COA eliminated the need to create an Oracle multi-organization environment and eliminated a consolidation step in the closing process.

TAG designed the payroll interface used to automate the bi-weekly recording of a 20,000-line payroll journal entry. This interface included the use of COA conversion tables to convert old COA values into new COA values and Oracle chart segment value tables to validate payroll-coding before importing the payroll transactions into the general ledger interface tables. Automating this payroll process and reducing errors was a key component in the SBA initiative to reduce its monthly closing cycle.

TAG assisted World Wide to choose a partner to provide them with a primary technology platform. The goal for this project was to move all the processing off the existing Windows NT platform and history on customized applications on the AS/400 to a single platform.

TAG researched the available solutions, documented World Wide’s requirements and managed the evaluation process. World Wide will be addressing critical workflow and processing issues by the implementation of an integrated software environment. World Wide has competitive pressures in their market niche, having efficiency problems just creates more impact on their bottom line.
