John C. Blackshire Jr. CPA PresidentOver the past twenty-five years, Mr. Blackshire has developed, sold, marketed, managed or consulted concerning financial application systems. Starting as an auditor for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., he has worked in technical, management and sales positions for both Walker Interactive Products and Insurance Systems of America (ISA) in their financial application software operations.
Mr. Blackshire was with ISA (now Sungard) for over six years working with ISA/ABC, ISA/CDS and its investment accounting systems. He was with Walker Interactive for three years working with numerous users concerning financial systems. After leaving Walker in 1985, John founded TAG.
John has a BS in Accounting from the University of South Carolina (USC) and is a CPA. He is a member of the Dean's Advisory Committee for the Darla Moore School of Business at USC. He has been a member of the AICPA since 1976 and is active in the Technology Section of the AICPA.
